
Dereck Darden is a passionate Mental Health Counselor who earned his Master's Degree in Counseling from Temple University. He has experience working within community behavioral health settings, providing therapeutic interventions to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and emotional wellness for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dereck has worked with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, frustration tolerance difficulties, school avoidance, parent-child conflict, trauma-related challenges, and complex life stressors. He utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care to create a supportive, person-centered therapeutic environment that promotes healing, resilience, personal growth, and long-term success.
As a former collegiate athlete who competed in both football and track & field, Dereck also has a strong passion for working with athletes and individuals navigating performance-related pressure, performance anxiety, confidence issues, and stress management. He understands the mental and emotional demands that come with competition and is dedicated to helping clients build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and perform at their highest potential both on and off the field.
